Get Study Information

Once you have gestational diabetes, chances are you may get it again in your next pregnancy... BUT, there may be a way to prevent this! 

The Gestational Diabetes Prevention Study is an exciting new program studying whether weight loss can help prevent gestational diabetes in your next pregnancy.


You may qualify for this exciting, program at no cost if you are:

  • Age 18 or older
  • Had Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) in your last pregnancy

Participants will receive a state-of-the-art lifestyle intervention to promote healthy eating, activity, and weight loss.

The study is a collaboration with the Miriam Hospital/Warrant Alpert Medical School at Brown University and is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
