Activity 4 All

Activity 4 All

The Activity 4 All Program, which was created and is overseen by Kinesiology professor Dr. Kevin Taylor, aims to provide community members of all levels of ability with opportunities for recreation and exercise. The Program, which is staffed by Cal Poly Kinesiology students enrolled in KINE 407 and volunteers, works to create fun and inclusive adapted physical activities.

Currently, A4A focuses on three permanent programs: EyeCycle, the Adapted Paddle Program, and the Friday Club, but also provides opportunities for students to complete Senior Projects. This program also works closely with the Cal Poly Engineering department to design and execute the construction of many of these adapted activities.

Current Activities

A4A Faculty Supervisor and founder, Dr. Taylor, reports that all three programs, EyeCycle, Adapted Paddle Program and The Friday Club, are going strong. A4A is currently collaborating with the College of Engineering on 14 active projects, some of which are Senior Projects, including the launch of the SoloQuad Conversion kayak and Wii-B-Fit" project.

Additionally, efforts are still being made to expand the program curriculum to be adaptable nationwide.
