Healthy Beginnings

Healthy BeginningsHealthy Beginnings is a randomized, controlled trial testing the efficacy of a lifestyle intervention to promote healthy weight gain in pregnancy in overweight/obese women. Participants are randomized to a lifestyle intervention or standard care. The intervention includes structured meal plans, physical activity and behavioral strategies. The study is a collaboration with the Marian Hospital/Brown Medical School. This study is part of a consortium of studies funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).


This trial has started but has finished recruiting.
